At 43, Jennifer Aniston looks absolutely gorgeous and could easily pass for 10 years younger.
In an interview for InStyle magazine and on Conan O’ Brien’s late-night chat show, the former Friends star revealed that she is obsessed with laser skin treatments. “I go on the internet and read all about it. I call it ‘laser porn.’”
“I did this thing called like, a peel. It’s extremely intense – you don’t realise you look like a battered burn victim for a week,” she told Conan, referring to her laser peel to remedy sun spots from spending too long in the rays.
Although we are not exactly into “laser porn”, we can totally understand Jen’s fascination with what advanced aesthetic technology can achieve these days.
Closer to home, singer Sylvia Ratonel counts Fraxel microlaser peel at The Sloane Clinic as her top beauty secret.
“In the past, I had facial scars from acne breakouts. Just after a few Fraxel treatments, I could see the scars fading. My skin looked and feel smoother, which was the best feeling I ever had in ages! It definitely gave me a new found confidence. Nowadays, I don’t even wear foundation or concealer unless I am performing.”
And we’ve all witness her amazing transformation from a girl-next-door with complexion woes during the days as a Singapore Idol finalist, to being a fabulous record artist, FHM’s Top 100 Sexiest Women and spokesperson for Maybelline New York.
When asked about the process of getting there, it seems that the Fraxel procedure and recovery might not as traumatic as you would imagine.
“The Fraxel treatment was not as bad as I thought it would be. Before the treatment they would apply numbing cream on my face, so it felt more like little stinging ant bites. My face would look like I had a bit of a tan or sunburn for about 2 to 3 days post-treatment, after which I’ll start seeing the results.”
Sylvia is currently working on her latest record in collaboration with an up-and-coming home-grown rapper, Shigga Shay. Their song titled “Echoes” will be released by the end of June.
